from heretodaygonetohell.com

the Guns N’ Roses concert scheduled for Milwaukee’s Bradley Center tomorrow night (28th November) has been cancelled due to illness. Guns N’ Roses front man Axl Rose is suffering from an ear infection and strep throat. Rose was first diagnosed with the ear infection on the 20th of November in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was seen again by a doctor last night following the band’s show in Chicago and ordered to rest for a few days. The tour will continue as scheduled Friday night in Ames, Iowa at Hilton Coliseum. – FOR THE FULL STORE GO TO HERETODAYGONETOHELL.COM

12/19

November 27, 2006 at 4:18 pm (Rock)

I have been hearing that this could be the release date for the mythical Guns N Roses’ album – CHINESE DEMOCRACY.

Hopefully it will be the case. Hope is all I have left at this point. I wish I was going to the Chicago show tonight but I am stuck at work here in NYC. Chicago has always been a good town for Guns. I caught them there in the 2002 t.1125061551.jpg

Check out Melodic Rock for more information on Chinese Democracy.

GUNS N ROSES – THE QUESTIONS REMAIN:
I have had a lot of enquires on how solid the December
19 release date for Guns N Roses’ Chinese Democracy
might be. Answer – who the hell knows! It is only as
good as the other 27 release dates that have come to
pass thus far. One rumor suggests that the release is
now planned for June or July 2007, while HMV Canada
also lists the December 19 date

The Haunted REVIEW

November 24, 2006 at 3:34 pm (Rock)

THE HAUNTED – “The Dead Eye”
Century Media

The Haunted are a five-piece band that hail from Sweden. Their latest release for Century Media, “The Dead Eye,” is an amazing journey to the dark side of rock. I highly recommend you buy this album. “The Dead Eye” could be considered extreme metal with strong classic, thrash, gothic, and doom metal influences that ring strong in it’s overall sound. I think these guys have an original thing going on. Vocalist, Peter Dolving, has a strong aggressive voice that attacks you without ever really going into the death metal growl that dominates so many of the extreme metal bands today. The album is a perfect listen all of the way through with a constant musical thread that tends to complete it and makes it feel whole. This is a refreshing element in the day of single song iTunes downloads. Nowadays, most bands have forgotten the definition of an album, but The Haunted is not one of them. That is not to say you can’t enjoy just one song on its own either. On “The Dead Eye,” The Haunted prove their extreme power with well-crafted melodic songs that are miles ahead of their peers. Listen to this album, and hear the future of contemporary metal. Now, all they need is a couple of guitar solos. Whether you like The Absence, Opeth, Mastodon, old school Metallica, or Hell, even Nine Inch Nails, chances are that you are going to really dig The Haunted’s “The Dead Eye.”

Summary: Great pure metal darkness with no cheese.

Stand Out Tracks: “The Flood,” “The Crowning,” “The Reflection,” “The Medusa,” “The Guilt Trip,” and “The Prosecution”

12/5/06 – Tuesday

November 22, 2006 at 6:36 pm (Rock)

We will be doing a streaming radio “live” Talking Metal broadcast on Bionic Radio – Live 365

on Tuesday 12/5/06 at 8pm.

———

I am talking to as many people as possible to try to find out more about a release date for Chinese Democracy. I will let you know what I find out. Most of my music biz friends tell me there is no way it will just show up on the shelves without advance warning and promotion. I am trying not to loose hope. Let’s try to stay postive! I am sure it is coming soon.

———-

Jay Z sounded awesome last night on the AMAs. Great stuff. It is funny how none of these superstars can stay “retired” for more then a few years.

———-

I am really digging the Peeping Tom album. This is one of Mike Patton’s latest projects. Check out the song “Mojo” on iTunes for 99 cents here.

Nov. 2006 – 2 Tuesdays left!

November 19, 2006 at 10:28 pm (Rock)

Everything seems to be pointing to Chinese Democracy coming out now!!! – I believe we will see it this month.  I have no proof and I have no source…  just small clues.

Consider this time the calm before the storm.  Buy 2 to 3 copies of this album!  Support the new Guns N Roses by buying the new music and by going to see them play live.  The new lineup is amazing.

This e-mail came in from a Talking Metal listener.
His name is Nick Mucha. This is his take on the Massachusetts show.
----
Just woke up and am recouping form the amazing show last night.
I must say that I was worried going into the show about rants
and Axl being pissed off because of
the whole Portland thing, but it was not the case at all.
After Jungle he yelled, "Hello Portland" and started laughing.
The show was great and Axl's voice was spot on, even through all
the tech. difficulties. His mic would cut out every once and a while,
and Fink was having allot of guitar problems. He threw his
guitar down on stage at least twice because of this.
After the show Axl brought the whole band out for a bow
and apologized for the Portland cancellation (he really seemed
to feel bad about it) and thanked everybody for coming
out and for the support even through the technical
difficulties. As I said earlier this was an amazing show, probably
in my top 3, and I go to MANY shows. GNR ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!! -GNR is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
